O coronel Daniel Limeira dos Santos (\u00e0 esq. na foto acima) deixa o comando da unidade, ap\u00f3s completar 30 anos de efetivo servi\u00e7o na corpora\u00e7\u00e3o, sendo transferido para reserva remunerada. O tenente-coronel Melquisedec Lima de Figueiredo (\u00e0 dir. na foto acima) assume o Batalh\u00e3o, que \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel pelo combate aos crimes e infrac\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais, e prote\u00e7\u00e3o da fauna, flora e mananciais. Al\u00e9m disso, o Batalh\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m atua nas atividades de policiamento ostensivo e preventivo, combatendo crimes contra a vida e patrimoniais.<\/p>\n<p>A passagem de comando foi realizada no gabinete do comandante-geral da PM, coronel Euller Chaves, e foi acompanhada por oficiais superiores da corpora\u00e7\u00e3o, nesta manh\u00e3 de quarta. \u201cO coronel Limeira deixa seu legado de hist\u00f3ria na PMPB, passando por diversas unidades operacionais e administrativas da corpora\u00e7\u00e3o. Temos certeza que o trabalho que ele deixa no BPAmb ser\u00e1 continuado com a chegada do tenente-coronel M. Lima\u201d, disse o coronel Euller.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reconhecimento &#8211;<\/strong> O momento tamb\u00e9m foi de homenagem e agradecimento.
